CONFERENCE DETAILS:
The headquarters for our 2009 Annual Conference, October 22-23, will be the Cumberland House in Knoxville TN. Meetings will run from about 8 am to 6 pm both days.
This year, instead of meeting on the University of Tennessee campus, as we have done in the past, we have rented a conference room in the Cumberland House, and we will have a separate dining area for our meals. This should be much more convenient for everyone and greatly increase our conviviality.
For our past few conferences here in Knoxville, this is the hotel where most of you have stayed. Here is the information you will need for making reservations. Please ask explicitly for the special rate of $120.00 per night, single or double, available to members of the Robert S. Hartman Institute.
Four Points Cumberland House
1109 White Avenue
Knoxville, TN 37916
Phone: (865)-342-7686
An alternative hotel would be the Crowne Plaza, which is about 10 to 12 blocks away from the Cumberland House. You would probably need a car to get from there to the Cumberland House for our meetings. They will make rooms available at a special Hartman Institute rate for $83.00 per night. Free bus service will take you from there to the University of Tennessee campus (passing near the Cumberland House).
