ANNUAL MEETINGS Minimize

ANNUAL MEETINGS

In 2008, the Annual Meeting of the Robert S. Hartman Institute will not be held in its usual place, Knoxville, TN, USA. Instead it will be held in Cuernavaca, MX from October 14-15. It will be preceded on October 13 by  special Training Seminar, for which a special fee will be charged.

This meeting will be held in conjunction with the inaugural meeting of the Iberoamerican Branch of the Robert S. Hartman Institute.

The regular Annual Meeting will begin at 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 14 and will end around  6 p.m. on  Wednesday, October 15.

You should now PRE-REGISTER for the Conference if you plan to attend. Please click on the "Conf. Registration Form, 2008" button on the left to get a copy of the Registration Form. If you live in the United States and/or will be paying in US Dollars, please send Registration Form and check for $50.00 to Darlene Clark, Treasurer, Robert S. Hartman Institute, 3201 Bandera Street, Athens, TX 75752. . If you wait to register at the conference itself, the registration fee will be $75.00.

If you live in Mexico and/or will be paying in Mexican Pesos, please e-mail Marcos Gojman at: axiologia.iberoamerica@gmail.com. The pre-registration fee will be $500 pesos; if you wait to pay at the conference itself, the fee will be $750 pesos.

Dates: October 14th  and 15th. Participants should arrive the day before, October 13th.

Rates:
Single room, breakfast included: $1,305.00 (taxes included).
Double room, breakfast included: $1,405.00 (taxes included).
Extra person in the same room: $220.00
Rates in Mexican pesos valid from Sunday to Thursday.
Ask for weekend rates.
Current exchange rate: 10.50 pesos per 1 dollar.

Transportation:

From Mexico Citýs Airport to the Hotel in Cuernavaca:

Arriving at terminal 1 (All airlines except DL, CO, AM):

1.-Authorized taxis "Sitio 300" (White taxis with yellow doors). After passing customs, walk to the right to the end of the corridor and buy your ticket at the ticket counter. The taxi will take you directly to the Hotel Racquet. You have several options:

a) Small taxi for 1-2 persons, 1-2 pieces of luggage..…..$900.00 pesos.
b) Van for up to 6 persons, 6 pieces of luggage………..$1200.00 pesos.
c) Suburban for up to 7 persons, 7 pieces of luggage…..$1400.00 pesos.

2.- Autobus "Pullman de Morelos". Will take you from Gate 8 to their terminal in Cuernavaca. You will need to take a local taxi from the terminal to the hotel. The buses leave every 30 minutes……….$135.00 pesos per person, one way.

Arriving at terminal 2 (Delta, Continental, Aeromexico):

1.-Authorized taxis "Sitio 300" (White taxis with yellow doors). After passing customs, look for the ticket booth and buy your ticket.
2.- Autobus "Pullman de Morelos". You have to go to terminal 1.

Have a copy of the map below on how to get from the highway exit to the Hotel, in case the taxi driver doesn’t know how to get there.

You should make the necessary arrangements for your return to the Airport at the front desk of the hotel.

Currency exchange:

You can change dollars into pesos at many exchange houses outside of the customs area in both terminals of the airport. The hotel has an ATM for Visa and Mastercharge that will give you pesos.

THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND OFFICERS OF OUR IBEROAMERICAN INSTITUTE WILL OFFER A TRAINING SEMINAR IN MEXICO CITY ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 13TH.
